About Me

Rachel Scroggins is a fashion, portrait, and event photographer based in New York City.

A photographer for over half her lifetime, Rachel first fell in love with photography at summer camp, at age 13. She graduated from Ball State University in 2005, with a degree in Photojournalism. In 2006 she moved to NYC to pursue her dream.

She has previously worked as a freelance photo editor at over half a dozen major publications, producing photo shoots and planning editorials. When changes in the magazine industry resulted in mass layoffs, Rachel began to pursue her career as a freelance photographer, starting The Greyest Ghost to showcase her work and many adventures.

Since 2008, Rachel has photographed over 100 runway shows and presentations, featuring some of the world’s most prestigious fashion designers, at New York Fashion Week.

Fashion Week Daily named The Greyest Ghost/Rachel Scroggins “One to Watch” in their September 8, 2011 issue.

When not working, she can be found with her nose in a book, at the beach, or traveling the world.

Rachel has an extensive fashion-based stock photo library, and is available for new assignments worldwide.
