Warby Parker at Bird

26 Jul

I LOVE Warby Parker’s line of quirky eyewear. So naturally, I’m very excited to finally try some of their new styles on at the launch party for Warby Parker at Bird! The two have teamed up to launch a shop-in-shop at Bird’s Williamsburg location. I’ll be there before heading up to Greenpoint for the SummerScreen movie night.

Teen Vogue’s Rebel Chic

14 Jan

Teen Vogue,The Greyest Ghost

Absolutely loving this retro-inspired editorial in the February issue of Teen Vogue. The bright colors, the shoot locations, and the model’s gorgeous red hair all “pop” right off the page, and draw you in.

Teen Vogue,The Greyest Ghost

The fact that this photo shoot took place in Brooklyn makes me love it even more. I recognize Relish, a diner and one of my favorite brunch locations, and Passout records, both in Williamsburg. And the docks near IKEA in red hook make an appearance too.

The location scout really went above and beyond for this editorial, focusing on the backgrounds in to the shoot just as much as the clothing. I’ve done scouting before, and it’s no easy job! Hope in the future we see less Teen Vogue editorials on location at mansions or in parks, and more like this please!

The Best of What’s Going on This Week: Too Much

21 Oct

CMJ is kicking my ass, and it’s only day 2. It feels like fashion week all over again, just with music.
There is so much going on, I don’t even know where to start. I need to clone myself so I can be in 2 or 3 places at once. I’m literally getting a new email every 10minutes with some type of event flyer.

A small sampling of this week’s best offerings. Most of these are free!
