Me at the exhibit. Photo via Lomography’s event gallery.
I haven’t been feeling that well lately, but last night I managed to make a quick stop at the lomography gallery store in Greenwich Village for the opening reception of the Diana World Tour.
There was quite a large turnout, with dozens of Diana-wielding photographers photographing each other and the many Dianas for sale and on display. The event featured the Diana Vignettes, a small exhibit of lomo photographs taken by celebrities (such as Elijah Wood and Amber Tamblyn) and nyc residents, and the Detrich Collection, a collection of vintage and classic cameras to gawk at.
Also present: special guests Princess Diana, and Diana Ross:
Guests were served drinks, mini burgers, and a slices of a Diana themed cake. The snacks were great, but my favorite part of the event: the wall of vintage cameras.
I want them all!
