I’ve become a bit backlogged with posts after spending 5 days out of town with out internet during Easter week. One of the most exciting events I attended prior to my break from technology was the Fall 2010 Collection preview at the Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent, Barlow, and Mike & Chris showroom in midtown.
Back in February, I previewed the gorgeous summer collections. This time around, I found even more exciting pieces for fall that transition the best summer pieces into cold weather looks. Including LOTS of over-sized sweaters and leather jackets—two of my favorite things!
The Fall Barlow once again features great leather jackets and skirts, crop tops, and super soft tees that are a mix of sporty and biker chick. Some of my favorite pieces:
Nearly everything in the fall Barlow collection was made to be layered. To me, that’s the best part. Items can be worn alone as luxe basics, or together to create
Recently relaunched line Mike & Chris is back, and better than ever. Prices have been lowered a bit, but the aesthetic remains the same, with plenty of sweaters, leather jackets, hoodies, and leather jacket/hoodie combos to appease everyone.
I was pretty impressed with the new Mike & Chris. Just like Barlow, it makes me want to own a different jacket for every day of the week!
Bonus: It looks like online shopping coming is soon!
I’ve saved the largest collection for last! Twelfth Street’s fall line impressed me with glittery embellishments, and (more!) cocoon like sweaters.
As for the dresses, there are some light sundress styles that can be worn in both warm and cold months with some creative layering.
There are also a lot of holiday party appropriate dresses:
Last but not least, Twelfth Street shoes and bags:
I saw so many great pieces! Definitely considering curbing my “fast fashion” shopping, and saving up for a few statement fall pieces, like a nice leather jacket, and slouchy sweater instead. Honestly, there wasn’t a single piece in any of the three collections I wouldn’t wear! Hope you all like it just as much as I do.
Thanks again to Angela at the Twelfth Street, Barlow, and Mike & Chris showroom for inviting me to preview the collections!
