Best of What’s Going on This Week

One of the features I miss doing is a weekly NYC event roundup! Since this is a typical summer, with more events than any one person could possibly attend, I’ve found a handful of interesting events and sales to share–all happening in the upcoming week.

Here are some of my best bets:

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Sample Sale:

The Bushwick Block Party:

In my very own neighborhood! Live Bands, Booze, and Free Pizza! This promises to be “interesting”.

The Dekalb Market opens!
“Dekalb Market, housed in a collection of salvaged shipping containers, will bring together Brooklyn’s creative entrepreneurs in a community setting that will include an incubator farm, food market, events and performance venue, and a collection of eateries and work-sell spaces.”
I’m really excited to check out this new market/flea! It sounds like they are going to have some unique vendors.

In God We Trust Backyard Bazaar:

3rd Ward’s 4th Annual Pig Out!
Saturday, July 23, 2-9pm
195 Morgan Ave, Brooklyn, NY
FREE Admission

Rock Beach:
The Jelly NYC Pool Parties have become Rock Beach. Not sure what exactly will be happening here, now that they’ve moved locations all the way out to The Rockaways, but there will be guaranteed bands, and swimming.
