HONOR is one of those special NYC based brands that I’ve been following almost since their inception. Back in 2011, I shot their second show ever, and fell in love with their unique mix of whimsy, and retro sensibility.
Each season, they create and incredibly detailed inspiration story behind the collection. For Spring, the story was as follows:
“A beautiful debutante falls in love with a George Harrison-type bad boy. They go on a physical and spiritual “trip” together. She finally realizes she has fallen for a bad person and begins to untangle herself from him. She is stronger for her experience.”
For the beauty look, this translated into a relaxed low ponytail, bold blue winged eyeshadow, and a fun blue and pearl nail.
To get the look:
James Pecis using PHYTO for Beauty.com sprayed hair from roots to ends with Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray, then blow dried hair with the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i. Hair was parted in center, and PHYTO Professional Matte Texturizing Paste was applied to the roots for texture. Hair was secured into a low ponytail, and sprayed with PHYTO Professional Workable Holding Spray to finish.
Polly Osmond for Beauty.com used Kevyn Aucoin cosmetics to produce the stunning bright blue eye that was the focus of the show’s makeup look.
To get the look:
Start with Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer on skin. Next, eyes were lined in The Eye Pencil Primatif in Defining Navy, and filled in using The Loose Shimmer Shadow, in Lapis. To lighten the blue, white eyeliner was used over top. Lashes were curled, then coated in The Essential Mascara. To finish the look, The Lip Gloss, in Tulapina was applied to lips.
The finished look:
Finally, Nonie Creme created a custom mixed blue shade for Beauty.com, and topped the nails off with 3d peals, applied in a star pattern.
