Loeffler Randall Spring 2011 Shoes:

Loeffler Randall,Spring 2011,The Greyest Ghost

I’m usually not a big fan of posting publicity photos, or photos I didn’t shoot myself here at The Greyest Ghost. That is unless I’m promoting another photographer, or I find the quality of a press photo or an editorial absolutely amazing. Luckily these photos from the Loeffler Randall Spring 2011 campaign, shot by Jamie Isaia, not only promote something I like (and want!) they’re totally beautiful!

After seeing some of the shoes in person at the S/S ’11 SUNO presentation, I fell in love with the patterned flat sandals in particular:

Getting in the Sprit of Fashion Week

In the two years since I started The Greyest Ghost, it’s been a tradition for me to do a “best of” fashion week post before the start of each new season. With NYFW officially a month out (as of yesterday) now’s a great time to revisit some of my favorite photos from Spring/Summer 2011 shows.

I’m never “ready” once fashion week actually begins. But I have a feeling this season is going to be amazing. Look out for more show coverage than ever— I have a friend coming from LA to work as a second shooter for The Greyest Ghost!

See all the S/S 2011 shows I covered here.

VERDICT: While most of the collection didn’t synch up with my personal style, I admired the bold use of prints, bright, intense colors, and the way classic pieces like blazers were updated with new nautical inspired twists.

At just 21 years old, LaQuan Smith has atracted some major fans. Plenty of famous guests turned out to see the newest couture collection, including Susie Bubble, Common, Sandra Bernhard, Diane von Furstenberg, and Andre Leon Talley.

Nails were done by Naomi Yasuda, whom I was told “stayed up all night the night before the show” gluing the embellishments onto artificial nails.

Erro 7

Only in it’s 3rd season, ERRO is one collection that continues to impress me show after show.
Designer Anna Larson has the edgy, monochromatic look so many New Yorkers favor down pat. Lucky for us, she infuses enough variety and personal touches into her creations to set them apart from the seemingly endless parade of “gothic” inspired designers in the fashion world.

WHO: Gary Graham
WHAT: S/S 2011 Collection
WHERE: 9/11/10, Milk Studios

Gary Graham’s Spring 2011 collection is a collection that caught me completely off guard. I loved the modernized “street urchin gone glam” feel of the collection. While I haven’t quite mastered the art myself, Graham had layering down to a science.
