Backstage at the S/S ’12 Altuzarra show, the look of the night was focused on natural skin and nails, accented by an extreme brow.
CND lead nail technician Candice Manacchio created a natural, clean “second skin” manicure that complimented the more sporty looks of the collection. CND “Putty” was topped with CND Super Matte Top Coat.

Just as gorgeous as the look for the show: Candice’s own nails!

MAC lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux’s inspiration for spring came from “Elizabeth Taylor at the gym”. A clean face was complimented by the almost alien angular black brows.

After mattifying the face with MAC Select Cover Up Concealer and MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder, brows were darkened and lengthened. Using a MAC 266 brush to apply MAC Eye Shadow in Carbon, brows were topped off with MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder. The look was finished with MAC Pro Gloss Texture on lids to a “sweaty” add shine.

Frédéric Fekkai Lead Stylist Paul Hanlon created a young, fun straight-haired style, that complimented the collection, while still giving each model’s look individual flair.

To get the look, Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Styling Whip was applied to the top two inches of wet hair, to create volume. Part hair strongly on the right, bringing the front of the hair just over the left eye. Blow dry hair straight using a large round brush.

Next spray hair with Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Sheer Shine Mist. Tousle hair by brushing it through with fingers. Apply Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme from mid-length to ends of hair. Finish the look by spraying Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hair Spray over the entire head.

The finished look: sleek, modern, and sporty.
